Linda Harper-Brown video fails to address bribery charges

Reports filed by The Dallas Morning News and WFAA Channel 8 detail serious bribery charges against Irving State Representative Linda Harper-Brown (R-District 105). Harper-Brown is a member of the influential House Committee on Transportation. She is accused of doing special favors for a private transportation company that does business with the State of Texas in return for the use of a luxury Mercedes Benz and other undisclosed benefits.

Harper-Brown attempted to deflect attention away from the bribery charges by posting a four and half minute long video response instead of responding to repeated questions from the press. While her video rant attacks the media, disparages her opponent and rails against unnamed enemies in Washington, it fails to specifically address the serious charges against her – saying only that there is not a “lick of proof” that she had done anything wrong.

Any reasonable person, regardless of their political leanings, will find the evidence against Linda Harper-Brown compelling. Her patronizing and insincere video response is manipulative and insulting to voters.

The Lone Star Project video below provides voters with the information Linda Harper-Brown did not.
