Susan Hawk’s Dangerous Betrayal

Susan Hawk, the Republican candidate for Dallas County District Attorney, has released an ad promoting her campaign and attempting to express concern for the safety of Dallas County residents.

Susan Hawk, the Republican candidate for Dallas County District Attorney, has released an ad promoting her campaign and attempting to express concern for the safety of Dallas County residents.

However, Hawk failed to disclose that as a Dallas County Criminal District Court Judge, she allowed a dangerous and violent career criminal to avoid a prison sentence and go back onto Dallas Streets.  Once back on our streets, the criminal went on a violent rampage that included arrests for aggravated assault, resisting arrest and, finally, murder.  What’s more, in an apparent attempt to justify the release of the criminal, Hawk altered court records to remove references to a gun – critical information further confirming the danger and violent nature of the criminal.

To put Hawk’s campaign video and her betrayal of Dallas citizens into context, the Lone Star Project has provided the video above with on-screen corrections to the misleading statements made by Susan Hawk.
